Spreadsheet layout guidance

Readable

Fits a worksheet to one page wide and permits additional pages vertically. Best when text must remain readable.

One Page / Sheet

Fits each selected worksheet onto one page. It is the default and is best for small or moderately sized sheets. Large worksheets may result in very small text.

Original Layout

Uses the workbook's saved print areas, orientation, margins, and scaling as closely as the local converter permits.

Generate and inspect the actual preview before importing. Every selected workbook sheet receives its own output page or page group, and you can include or exclude individual worksheets.

CSV files contain cell values but do not preserve Excel fonts, colors, formulas, charts, merged cells, print areas, or multiple worksheets. Results may differ from Excel when fonts are unavailable or converter support differs.

Troubleshooting

Spreadsheet text is too small

Try Readable layout, exclude unneeded worksheets, reduce the used range in a non-confidential copy, and inspect the new preview.

Workbook formatting changed

Confirm required fonts are installed. Try Original Layout and compare the preview with the workbook's saved print settings.

Preview could not be generated

Check that the source file opens normally, then retry with a local, non-confidential copy in a supported format.

Password-protected file will not import

Create an unprotected non-confidential copy you are authorized to use, then import that copy. Do not send the password to support.

Workbook is damaged or malformed

Open and repair the file in its originating application, save a new copy, and generate a new preview.

Conversion takes too long

Large sheets, formulas, charts, images, and many selected worksheets can increase conversion time. Test a smaller non-confidential copy.

A document exceeds the safe import limit

Split an authorized copy into smaller documents or reduce unnecessary content, then import the smaller parts separately.

Fonts or page breaks changed

Install the source fonts where licensing permits, review saved print settings, and inspect the generated preview before import.

Final PDF is unexpectedly large

Check source images and document sizes, remove unnecessary sections, and export a non-confidential test packet to isolate the cause.

The application closed before the project was saved

Reopen Harborleaf Packet and follow any recovery prompt it presents. Exact recovery controls and storage locations are pending release verification; contact support if no recovery option appears.

Security reports

Use the inquiry form and include the platform, Harborleaf Packet version, potential impact, and safe reproduction steps. Do not include active exploit payloads, private keys, passwords, or confidential documents in the initial report.
